America’s Cup 37 – Preliminary Regatta Number Three!

The 37th America’s Cup international sailing competition includes one preliminary regatta (the third of three prelims) in which the teams compete in their 75-foot foiling monohulls that will be used in the the Louis Vitton Challenger Series and in the Final.   This AC75 represents three years of design, testing, and fabrication that adhere to the AC37 Rules, and this preliminary regatta will be our first chance to these boats paired against each other in head-to-head racing!

The Preliminary Regatta Format

This regatta is unique in that each of the six teams race will be racing, including the defender, Emirates Team New Zealand.    In the previous two preliminary regattas, all teams raced AC40’s.

What to Expect!

How to See It!

The racing begins at 0700 Central Time.  We take our role as American Magic fans pretty seriously and we WATCH these races, LIVE and RECORDED.  Here is the schedule of WATCH PARTIES:

Sail Pensacola/Seville Watch Party: If you are in or close to Pensacola, you’ll want to join American Magic fans for their LIVE Watch Party  starting at 0700 in Seville Quarter, Downtown Pensacola!  We’ll have ESPN + live link and will chat with our team on the ground (Tom) about what it looks like there in Barcelona!

Pensacola Beach Yacht Club Watch Party:  Now, if you miss the live-streamed event in Pensacola, and you are either Pensacola Beach Yacht Club member or have influence with one, go the PBYC “no spoilers” Watch Party each day at 5 PM Central Time!

That’s alot of Watching our home-town America’s Cup team!  But what would you expect!  That’s Pensacola!
