Sail Pensacola is hosting the North American launch of Foiling Week – FOILING WEEK PENSACOLA (FWP), February 24 to March 2, 2025. Foiling Week Pensacola will deliver all you expect from Foiling Week with the hallmark festival format with embedded world-class foiling dinghy and foiling board racing. FWP has a spectacular split-epicenter format with seven foiling board disciplines racing off the sand of stunning Pensacola Beach while fourteen+ classes of foiling boats compete on two race courses on the Pensacola Bay directly off the Community Maritime Race Village waterfront.
And this year, FWP enjoys the special treat of integrating with Mardi Gras celebrations throughout the week, culminating in parades in Pensacola and at the Beach, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The Business Extra? The Marine Business Conference! This three-hour session hosted by the City of Pensacola Office of Economic Development and Florida West Economic Development Alliance will deliver the vision and opportunity for new business in this spectacular marine ecosystem. The technical session will be followed by a social networking hour and a dinner. To make sure you have this essential session incorporated into an efficient and value-filled itinerary, Sail Pensacola is providing a business concierge to make sure you get to see and meet everyone you need to understand the advantages your company can enjoy by making Pensacola your North American home!
Foiling Week Business Forum
It is certain that Foiling Week attracts the world’s top foilers on boat, board, and an infinite range of watercraft. But more than that, the event attracts the founders, executives, and developers behind these foiling inventions. Foiling Week Pensacola overlaps Mardi Gras celebrations in Pensacola, which means that in the city, Pensacola Mardi Gras will insert you into the middle of this historic cultural celebration, parade and party, while at the beach, the same engagement will be available through the Sunday parade. The City of Pensacola has teamed with the Gulf Coast Triumph Fund, the Florida Governors Job Fund, and the Seaport Fund to launch a facility at the Port to house American Magic. This facility will support all American Magic operations, but, more than that, the Maritime Center for Excellence will catalyze the attraction of new technology and business to the Pensacola Bay ecosystem. University of West Florida WAVE
The Sailing and Marine Technology Center. The University of West Florida Mechanical Engineering Department has received funding from the Triumph Gulf Coast Fund to launch an engineering technology center that delivers a fully equipped engineering research and development center, located just feet away from the American Magic base at the Port of Pensacola! This space provides access to multi-access CNC, 3-D printing, CFD computing power, composite fabrication assets, 3-D scanning, and carbon fiber reuse platforms. The integration of with the University of West Florida College of Business and the SBDC provides business development support to companies and startups for a friction-free path from production to market.
Pensacola State College and LIFT
Pensacola State College (PSC) has a history of workforce development and deliver a excellent marine technology program. In addition, they are building a collaboration with LIFT to build state-of-the-art fabrication facility in the heart of Pensacola. This facility will deliver workforce development for metallic fabrication with an emerging focus on material science! PSC is working with Sail Pensacola to craft customized training such as a new hybrid Elect-Tech – the marine technician of the future!

The Sail Pensacola Footprint Accelerator. This program is designed to give new businesses a scalable footprint in the Pensacola ecosystem, beginning with product presentations streamed on our social media, advancing to on-water demos and activation of on-site ambassadors, culminating in a physical business footprint in the Pensacola maritime community.
