Mother’s Regatta
On February 23-26,
Moth and Waszp class foilers got the Pensacola Bay race track to themselves, thanks to PYC!
World class competitors took to the ‘air’ in these one-person, foiling sailboats, slipping through breeze and water in ways that make their namesakes envious!
From the shore, they looked to be just flitting above the waves at nearly twice the wind speed, while navigating a course in close company with competitors going just as fast! Frenetic? If you think so, it means you are ready to learn how!
Sail Pensacola was there for pictures and video and got a lesson in how the Waszp sailing machine works!
